This is a 1966, chromed bumper MGB, with original splined hubs. The car was sympathetically restored over the years, and is in excellent condition. The vehicle is a strong daily driver. The red paint shows well, with no visible rust or bubbling, it does have some orange peel in a few places. The interior was redone in black leather, and red piping. The carpets were replaced as well. She features a wood rimmed Motolita steering wheel. The vinyl top is in excellent condition, and the car comes with a matching tonneau cover. The motor was just tuned, runs strong, doesn’t smoke, and is in an excellent state of tune. She has a modern CRANE FIREBALL ignition system, and starts every time. The 4-speed transmission is excellent, as is the clutch. The car has OVERDRIVE works well and makes the car a pleasure to drive on the highway. The car has an auxiliary electric fan, oil cooler and fuel pump. She starts well and runs smoothly. The chrome is excellent. The new VREDESTEIN tires ride on base metal WIRE wheels with chrome knock-offs, and she comes with a MATCHING WIRE SPARE WITH NEW TIRE. Brakes are fresh, and the car stops with authority. All mechanical systems work as they should. The cost of reproducing this MGB, as is, would be in excess of $30K. These early chrome bumper MG s are the most desirable of the “B” series cars. They are a joy to drive, and give the driver the classic roadster experience. This driver MGB is ready to go. All she needs is a proud new owner.
