The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this beautiful 1961 Mercedes Benz 190SL. This car has just been the recipient of a five year, full frame on restoration. She was brought down to bare metal, and coated with Mercedes silver (#180) paint (German Glasurit base coat). The paint has a mirror-like finish. The car also received an entirely new GAHH leather interior in stunning Mercedes Benz Red. Final assembly was done by Redline Restorations of Bridgeport, CT. The engine was rebuilt and has approximately 200 miles on it. She runs beautifully, and doesn’t smoke or leak. The car takes its drives through a re-built 4-speed manual gearbox; she shifts as smoothly as any we have driven. The convertible top is new, the top mechanism is new as well, and works as it should. The hardtop is excellent, having received the same paint treatment as the rest of the body. The engine compartment is detailed, and shows well. The underside of the car is excellent. The brakes, tires, and suspension are new as well. The car has its original stereo. All of the bright work has been replaced or triple chrome plated. All of the rubber was replaced, as well as the windshield glass. This car drives as well as she looks. Priced to sell, and needing nothing but an enthusiastic new owner.
