The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this beautiful 1966 Mercedes Benz 230SL. The car underwent a thorough refurbishment in 2005, including: new black interior, painting of the dash, new dash woodwork, new carpets, and new door panels. The climate control system was fully overhauled, including the heating system and the factory air conditioning. The motor starts, runs cool, and idles smoothly. The alternator was replaced, as were the brakes and the water pump. The engine was tuned, and the front crankshaft main seal was also replaced at this time. The motor breaths through a new stainless steel exhaust system. All of these repairs were done less than 2500 miles ago. The four speed automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and works as it should. The black convertible top is in excellent condition the rear window is clear, and the mechanism works properly. She appears to have her original Blaupunkt radio. The car was repainted at some point, and the cream colored paint is in good shape, with few blemishes. The floors are good, and show no signs of rust or corrosion. All gaps are factory original, and the trunk is in fine shape. The tires are new. These cars drives almost like a modern car, they are smooth, reliable, and only appreciating in value. This is well sorted, excellent driver, and needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner.
