The car on offer here is this stunning 1961 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible!! 50 year, long term collector ownership, this car has been babied its entire life. She has been maintained with an open wallet and an eye towards collectibility. Full documentation details all maintenance and mileage for the last 50 years, and the car is mechanically and cosmetically excellent. The original black paint has great shine and luster with a lovely patina throughout. Some paint checking is evident on the trunk and the passenger side door shows evidence of paintwork. All of the chrome has been redone and is in excellent condition. All trim, chrome, rubber and stainless is fresh and correct. Only OEM parts have been used throughout. The 394 Cid V8 “Ultra High Compression V8” is original, well tuned and maintained; it starts “on the button” and puts out excellent power and torque. The automatic transmission has been sealed and serviced and shifts as designed, the car is a joy to drive. The interior was restored in copper colored LEATHER in 2025 at a cost of $15,000; it is gorgeous! The convertible top was also replaced and the automatic top mechanism has been restored and works as designed. The entire brake system was restored in 2014, the work, including, but not limited to a new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, new drums, new linings and all brake lines.
