The car on offer here is this stunning 1974 DeTomaso Pantera. This car has been the recipient of a full rotisserie restoration utilizing an open checkbook. The car was fully disassembled, and every bit of the car was restored. The work, performed from 2021-2023 includes but is not limited to the following; - Rotisserie restored body. Including the underside. The car is better than new with - excellent panel fit and gaps. - Full rebuild of the original 351 engine, including JE pistons (.30 over, 10:1 compression, cam (thumper), valves, bearings etc. - New Holley 650 carb -Rebuilt original ZF transmissions, all gears magnafluxed - New centerforce clutch - New MSD ignition and distributor - New Fluidyne aluminum including new electric fans and tubing and piping - New starter motor, - Restored original Campagnolo magnesium wheels and new tires (BF Goodrich TA radials) - New brakes including rotors, calipers, master cylinder, all lines, - Fabrication of coolant pipes, brake lines, - New wiring harness - New exhaust system including manifolds - Fully restored interior, including dash, carpets, seats etc - Fully restored suspension including all bushing and shocks - New Rubber seals and all trim - New trunk liner As can be seen, an opened checkbook was employed in the restoration of this car; all systems were restored to as-new condition. The restoration was done by Altezza Restoration in Bridgeport Ct. Altezza is known for some of the finest paintwork in the industry, and this car was the benefit of this expertise; it is STUNNING from every angle. Powered by its original 351 cid Ford Cleveland V8 paired with its original five-speed ZF manual transaxle, the car is excellent both mechanically and cosmetically. Finished in correct Pantera medium blue over black vinyl upholstery the car makes a bold excotic car statement. It is sold on a clean Louisiana title. The Pantera’s bodywork was designed by Carrozzeria Ghia. This example factory in blue and features Black painted front and rear split bumpers, pop-up headlights, black painted mirrors, body colored rocker panels and black B-pillar trim, Correct original Campagnolo 15×8″ front and 15×10″ rear cast magnesium wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, date coded the latter of which are said to have been installed by the selling dealer. The car rides on a four-wheel independent suspension, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner. The cabin features newly restored bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with perforated inserts. Equipment includes a gated shifter and power windows. The 351ci Cleveland V8 was rebuilt in 2023, and additional work consists of the installation of (MSD) distributor, new fuel pump, water pump, thermostat, engine mounts, ignition components , gaskets, and belts, fabricating coolant pipes, and rebuilding the starter motor and distributor.
