The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this beautiful 1964 Porsche 356 C Cabriolet. This iconic car was the recipient of a comprehensive restoration in 1992, and driven very little since. Charlie Smith, of Orange CT, recently rebuilt the motor. With only a few thousand miles on the rebuilt, more powerful 912 motor, this car is just broken in. The 4-speed transmission shifts well, and a new clutch was installed at the time of the engine rebuild. The original floors are excellent. The red paint shows well, with a few blemishes that would be expected with a restoration of this age. The Black Leather interior is in excellent condition, having just been re-upholstered by Auto International of San Diego. The carpets are correct, as are the gauges. The car has a Nardi wood steering wheel. The chrome rims are correct, and the tires are new. The disc brakes are in excellent condition, the pads are fresh. All of the mechanical systems work as they should. The convertible top shows some fading, but has no rips or tears. The top mechanism is in excellent condition and works well. The tonneau cover is in as new condition as is the rear convertible cover. The chrome bumpers, bright-work and rubber are all in excellent condition. Priced to sell, all she needs is a new owner.
