1969 Mustang BOSS 429. “Possibly the finest and most correct BOSS 9 in the world. Restored to the highest level using only correct parts.”

VIN 9F02Z188415 KK1750 CHEAT SHEET: The car on offer here is possibly the finest “BOSS 9” in the world. Judged Gold by noted Boss expert, MCA National Head judge and collector Bob Perkins, this “BOSS 9” has since lived in a climate controlled facility and only 20-30 miles have been put on it since the judging roughly 10 years ago. It has likely only traveled 20-30 miles +- since the late 1970’s. The car was born Raven Black, the rarest production color for a 69 Boss 429; Only 96 were believed to have been built Raven black. This number includes a group of pre-production Black cars which were either prototypes, race/ R&D vehicles. Ford retained these cars (at the time) reducing the number of Factory Raven Black cars built for public consumption to roughly 88. The enthusiast community often uses the number 93 rather than the 96 noted here. Raven Black was a one-year only color; no 1970 Boss 429 Mustangs were painted black. This car was collector owned from new, and delivered, from the Ford Factory, to Drew Ford in CA where it would live in that “rust free” part of the world for roughly 10 years before being purchased by a couple in upstate NY. The car was then parked, traveling few to no miles in 17 years. The car was then taken to Ford marque expert Randy Delisio Of Performance & Restoration, Inc. where it received a full nut and bolt concours restoration. Since then, the car has lived in a climate controlled “bubble”,...yes a dust free bubble called a Car Capsule, until being sold to a collector in 2010. The car was then reconditioned and detailed by acclaimed “Boss 9” expert Bob Wilson. The condition and originality of this car cannot be overstated. It is certainly one of the finest 1969 Boss 429 in the world. The car retains the following, but not limited to; Restoration By Randy Delisio of Performance Restoration Original build sheet Original owners card Original snorkel (it has the “wrinkles” on it, and someone will ask. Yes,...original not reproduction). Concours Raven Black paintwork Concours correct original trim Concours rubber trim all original dated Carlite glass most (9C and 9D) meaning March/April 1969. This “Boss 9” has also had the intake, valve cover and head “O ring” gaskets rubber and metal “Cooper” done in the last dozen years to reduce any concern regarding that issue. Boss 9 magnum wheels and correct “No Size” tires. Red Oxide underside is as correct as the engine bay. Radiator and carb are properly dated The correct exhaust is on the car with correct transverse muffler Correct exhaust manifolds Dated Autolite spark plug wires are reproduction. Judged by Bob Perkins (SAAC/MCA).
