The 2009 Indianapolis 500 took place less than two months into the brand new, fifth-gen Camaroís, production run. To make sure that the official use cars were at Indy in time for the race, Chevy produced 20 pre-production examples. The cars were for official use at the race and were used to ferry VIPís and Indy drivers around during the month of May leading up to the race and to pace the 500. The car on offer here is #4 of the 20, it has lived in a collection for the past 8 years and has only 844 miles!!! The car is in showroom condition and may be the finest on the market. The Ice Metallic paint is showroom fresh, as are the 20 inch factory alloys (the tires are original). This was one of the parade cars, and did not pace the race. The car is fully optioned and has satellite radio and Bluetooth. Anti-lock brakes and airbags are part of the package as well. Powered by its original 6.2 liter L99 motor and mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, the car offers stunning performance to match its looks. It comes with all ownership history, books and manuals. Recently serviced, the car runs as new and needs nothing. One of the rarest of any generation of Camaro, this car checks all of the boxes for collectibility.
