1964 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 "45 YEAR OWNER, STUNNING CONDITION BOTH COSMETICALLY AND MECHANICALLY!!

The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this lovely 1964 Austin Healey 3000 Mk II BJ7. This car is an excellent Healey that has been extremely well sorted and maintained. 45 year ownership, the car has been lovingly maintained and remains in wonderful condition in all ways. The car is one of the best driving Healeys we have ever driven. It has been sympathetically restored and maintained. We have restoration records going back to the late 1990’s. Throughout the years, the following restorative work was done; - Full, bare metal respray by a Marque specialist - Full engine rebuild, including pistons. - Rebuilt transmission - The overdrive was sorted - New convertible top - The entire brake system was replaced, including calipers, discs, drums, pads and master cylinder. - New clutch - Chrome wire wheels - New exhaust system - The suspension was rebuilt, with new bushings and renewed shocks. - The Carburetors have been cleaned, balanced and synchronized - Replaced wood veneers - The interior seats were recovered and new carpets were installed. The tan seats show beautifully. - New carpets installed in the trunk - New headlights installed - The wiring harness was replaced and correct. All chrome body trim shows well and clearly in near new condition. Documentation of the work is available. The 6-cylinder engine runs smoothly with good power and torque. Compression is excellent in all cylinders. The chrome wire wheels are in excellent condition, and are shod with Vredestein Sprint classic 185/70R15 radial tires. The rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission shifts well, and the OVERDRIVE works as it should. All electrical and mechanical systems work well. The clutch engages properly. The top is in excellent condition, and the mechanism is well finished and works well. All chrome trim is excellent. The bodywork is amazing, the British racing green looks great with deep shine and luster. The tan interior, including carpets, was replaced and looks great. Big money was clearly spent over the years, and it shows. This car drives as well as any Austin Healey we have driven; this point cannot be overstated. It is well sorted and an excellent example of a “Big Healey”. Please feel free to call us at 203 256 9800 or email Steven@classiccargallery.com if you have any questions.
