The MX-5 Miata was created by Mazda as a lightweight two seat roadster with a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. The Miata, first built in 1989, was conceived as a small, simple lightweight roadster in the spirit of the British sports cars of the 1950s & '60s, such as the Triumph Spitfire, Austin-Healey 100, MG MGA, and particularly the Lotus Elan. The difference being that this car incorporated modern technology safety and reliability. Featuring a smooth running and quick revving 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine, modern ergonomics and Japanese reliability; the Miata offered performance and drivability only dreamed of by the early British sports cars they were meant to emulate. This 1993 Miata is an excellent, low mileage (54,600 miles) example that has been well sorted. It is a two owner car, the second owner has owned the car for the past 8 years and has only put on 11k miles. It has been well maintained with regular low mileage fluid changes and service. The car comes with extensive documentation from new including recent brake R&R including calipers, serpentine belts, clutch master and slave cylinder and new aftermarket wheels and tires. The Black exterior paint is in excellent original condition, with only minor stone chips on the front bumper. The tan interior is excellent, the with some wear on the driver’s seat; the dash is excellent. The car has a new Sony radio/cd player. The brown convertible top is in excellent condition and the car comes with a tonneau cover. In this owner’s hands, the car was always garaged kept in winter and never saw rain or snow. The car comes with the original dealer purchase order, manuals, records and a clean Carfax. Enjoy this beautiful stock and unmodified example today
